The top three candidates split 98.1% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Nirmala Sankhwar got a total of 88,390 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Arun Kumari Kori secured 54,996 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Poonam Sankhavar grabbed the third spot with 41,060 votes. The top three parties got 47.0%, 29.3% and 21.8% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Shiv Kumar Beria beat Bahujan Samaj Party's Nirmala Sankhawar by 16,835 votes.
