Aamir: Yes Prime Minister

Khan is thrilled with Dr Manmohan Singh’s response to his film Peepli Live.

Excuse moi while I check this email. It’s my birdy from Bandra, telling me that Aamir Khan seems to be a favourite among the country’s Prime Ministers. The actor-filmmaker has scored a hattrick of sorts after three of his productions were acclaimed by two different PMs of India.

Khan is thrilled with Dr Manmohan Singh’s response to his film Peepli Live. After seeing Peepli Live, Mr Singh is believed to have said, “This is one of the most definite films… and actually shows the divide between urban and rural India.”

Previously, Atal Behari Vajpayee had seen Lagaan and Mr Singh watched Taare Zameen Par during his first term as the PM. Must say this makes Aamir a favourite with our PMs, remarks my birdy.

Good for him. After all, such is life dearies.
