Akshay Kumar’s daughter named after Rajesh Khanna

Akshay has paid a special tribute to his late father-in-law, Rajesh Khanna, by naming his newborn daughter, Nitara Khanna Bhatia. While ‘Bhatiya’ is Akshay’s last name, ‘Khanna’ has been included to pay respect to the veteran actor, who passed away in July this year.

Actor Akshay Kumar has paid a special tribute to his late father-in-law, veteran actor Rajesh Khanna, by naming his newborn daughter, Nitara Khanna Bhatia. While ‘Bhatiya’ is Akshay’s last name, ‘Khanna’ has been included to pay respect to Rajesh Khanna, who passed away in July this year.

Twinkle Khanna gave birth to a daughter on September 25. The former actress delivered at Breach Candy Hospital in South Bombay reportedly.

"We are blessed with a lovely baby girl who looks just like her mother and grandmother. I have no words to express my happiness. I would like to thank everyone for their blessings and best wishes," Akshay Kumar said in a statement.

According to reports, it was a normal delivery and both mother and daughter are doing fine.

Akshay married Twinkle in 2001. The couple also has 10-year-old son Aarav. And after their newly-born daughter, the family is complete.
