A misunderstanding that made Justin Bieber believe that he was being attacked by a middle-aged man has lit up Twitter. Tom Patterson, the man alleged for the attack, turned out to be a cop in plain clothes.

A misunderstanding that made Justin Bieber believe that he was being attacked by a middle-aged man during his 'Someday' perfume launch outside of Macy’s in New York City, has lit up Twitter.



According to TMZ.com, Tom Patterson, the man alleged for the attack, turned out to be a cop in plain clothes, rushing to help the singer since the crowd was getting unruly, reports the CBS News.



However, even the news of the misunderstanding could not quiet Bieber’s fans as his millions of followers have threatened Petterson’s death as well as other unpleasant outcomes.

Though Bieber’s security let Petterson up after his identification, the incident ended up resulting in a disorderly conduct charge against Bieber’s team for mishandling the officer.
