Aamir Khan had once revealed that following his divorce with Reena Dutta, he and Kiran Rao reconnected over a phone call. “In that moment of trauma, her phone came and I talked to her on the phone for half an hour. And when I put the phone down, I said, ‘My God! Besides their collaboration on screen, Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao have also set up the Paani Foundation. The Foundation was set up in 2016 by Aamir, Kiran and the core team of the television show Satyamev Jayate. The organisation, which aims to address the problem of water scarcity in the villages of Maharashtra, hosted the Satyamev Jayate Water Cup from 2016 to 2019.
