Alia Bhatt is the ‘rani’ of ₹100 crore club, here are the actor's eight films that make the cut

Alia Bhatt's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has crossed the ₹100 crore mark at the domestic box office. This is her eighth film to have achieved the feat.

Alia Bhatt has scored her eighth ₹100 crore hit with Karan Johar's romantic comedy Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Alia thus seems to have earned the coveted tag of the Rani of the ₹100 crore club. As Rocky Aur Rani crosses ₹100 crore at the domestic box office, here are the other seven films that make Alia the queen of the ₹100 crore club:

2 States

Abhishek Varman's directorial debut 2 States starred Alia as a Tamilian student at IIM Ahmedabad. Her character Ananya falls in love with Krish (Arjun Kapoor), a Punjabi batchmate. Interstingly, many initially compared the story of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani to that of 2 States. The 2014 film earned ₹102.13 crore at the domestic box office.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania

There was a three-year lull after 2 States as far as her films crossing ₹100 crore at the box office were concerned. The next one came in the form of Shashank Khaitan's 2017 romantic comedy Badrinath Ki Dulhania, a sequel to Alia's Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014). The Varun Dhawana and Alia-starrer made ₹116.68 crore at the domestic box office, as compared to its predecessor's ₹76.81 crore.

Raazi

Meghna Gulzar's 2018 spy thriller was Alia's first ₹100 crore hit as a solo lead. While the film did star Vicky Kaushal opposite her, the actor hadn't established himself as a bankable lead star by then. Alia played Sehmat, a Kashmiri spy married into a Pakistani army general's family. The film made ₹123.84 crore at the domestic box office.

Gully Boy

Zoya Akhtar's coming-of-age musical was Alia's first film outside of Karan Johar's Dharma Productions that became a ₹100 crore hit. The Excel Entertainment film starred her as Safina, the short-tempered girlfriend of Murad (Ranveer Singh). This was her maiden collaboration with her Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani co-star. Gully Boy made ₹140.25 crore at the domestic box office.

Gangubai Kathiawadi

2022 was clearly the year of Alia Bhatt. Her Gangubai Kathiawadi, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, made ₹129.10 crore at the domestic box office. She played the titular character of a 1950s-60s Mumbai sex worker.

RRR

Last year, Alia also starred in SS Rajamouli's period action film, also starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR. RRR, a Telugu film, went on to earn ₹274.31 crore at the domestic box office, and even fetched an Oscar in the Best Original Song category for Naatu Naatu.

Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva

Alia's latest ₹100 crore hit before Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani was Ayan Mukerji's supernatural romance, that marked her maiden collaboration with husband Ranbir Kapoor. The film made ₹257.44 crore at the domestic box office.
