Brahmastra teaser introduces fans to Alia Bhatt's Isha on actor's birthday. Watch her different avatars

The first look of Alia Bhatt's character Isha in Brahmastra has been revealed. Watch her different avatars.

Actor Alia Bhatt's first look from her upcoming film Brahmastra was revealed on Tuesday, as she celebrated her 29th birthday. Taking to Instagram, Alia Bhatt shared a clip from the film. Though not much is revealed about her character, Alia is seen in different avatars throughout the clip.

As the clip starts, Alia Bhatt is seen holding actor Ranbir Kapoor as they are surrounded by fire. In the next few seconds, Alia's different avatars are revealed. At one point in the video, she is seen during pooja in a temple. She also smiles wearing a red saree and is shocked by a ball of fire on someone's hand, seemingly Ranbir's.

The end of the video turns grim as Alia is seen shielding herself from a blast, running frantically and then looking at Ranbir as the fire around them intensifies. The clip ends with Alia standing alone staring at the sky.

Sharing the clip, Alia captioned the post, "Happy Birthday to me. Can’t think of a better day and a better way for you’ll to meet Isha... Ayan my wonder boy. I love you. Thank you! #brahmastra."

Filmmaker Karan Johar shared a poster featuring Alia in Brahmastra. He captioned the post, "My darling Alia, There is so much love that I feel for you while I write this but also so much respect - respect for your immense talent, your incredible growth as an artist and your ability to be so real through all the beats of your life! 10 years ago I didn’t know that one day I could proudly call you my very own Brahmāstra…my weapon of love and of abundant joy…"

Actor Amitabh Bachchan also shared the poster and Alia's first look on Instagram. He wrote, "Happy Birthday to the Light of Brahmāstra... Isha! Alia will essay the role of Isha, girlfriend of Ranbir's character Shiva, in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra. They will feature together on screen for the first time. The movie will also star Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Mouni Roy. The film will release on September 9, 2022.
