Rani Mukerji waves to paparazzi as she goes to Guwahati's Kamakhya Temple to seek blessings on birthday
Rani Mukerji flew out of Mumbai for Guwahati to seek blessings at the Kamakhya Temple on her birthday. At the airport, she also waved to paparazzi.
As Rani Mukerji celebrated her 45th birthday on Tuesday, the actor travelled to Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati, Assam, to seek blessings. Several pictures and videos of the actor at the Kalina airport in Mumbai on Tuesday morning emerged online. For the travel, Rani wore a pink and red suit and matching pink shoes. In a video shared by a paparazzi account on Instagram, Rani was seen outside the airport as she got out of her car. The actor smiled and posed for the paparazzi. She was also seen waving to people before turning around and heading inside the airport.
Rani's travel comes a few days after the release of her film Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway. Last week, Rani visited Amritsar and sought blessings at the famous Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple). In a picture, that surfaced online, Rani stood with her hands folded in front of the shrine.
Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway has already earned ₹12.68 crore in worldwide gross box office collection in the first week of its release, the film's team said Monday. Directed by Ashima Chibber, the film also stars Anirban Bhattacharya, Jim Sarbh, and Neena Gupta.
The film is based on Sagarika Chakaraborty's book The Journey of a Mother. It revolves around Debika (Rani), an immigrant mother who is engaged in a long-drawn legal battle with a country over her children's custody. Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway released on March 17 in theatres.
Rani made her acting debut with Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat in 1997. The film, written and directed by Ashok Gaikwad, also starred Shadaab Khan, Javed Khan, Gulshan Grover, Divya Dutta, Gajendra Chauhan, and Sulabha Deshpande among others. Rani rose to stardom after the success of Karan Johar's directorial debut Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
She has many films such as Saathiya (2002), Chalte Chalte (2003), Hum Tum, Yuva and Veer-Zaara (2004), Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006), Bunty Aur Babli and Black (2005). Fans also saw her in No One Killed Jessica (2011), Talaash (2012), Mardaani (2014), Mardaani 2 (2019), Hichki (2018), and Bunty Aur Babli 2 (2021).
