Sara Ali Khan says she begged Akshay Kumar to appear with her in a video: 'Allah ke naam pe kar lo'
Sara Ali Khan has said that her Atrangi Re co-star Akshay Kumar didn't want to film a ‘namaste darshako’ video with her.
Sara Ali Khan confessed she had to beg Akshay Kumar to star in a video with her for her Instagram account. The actor, who will be seen in Atrangi Re with him, said that she was trying to convince him to appear in her ‘namaste darshako (hello viewers)’ video.

The Love Aaj Kal star is popular for her ‘namaste darshako’ series. In the video, Sara gives an update about her whereabouts using lines that rhyme. These videos usually stars the actor with her family, friends and co-stars.
Sara revealed that Akshay refused to star in the series with her. Speaking with Siddharth Kannan, Sara said that though the actor refused, she managed to convince him. “Maine karawa diya. Maine bus bola, ‘Sir, please kar lo, please kar lo, Allah ke naam pe kar lo baba, Allah ke naam pe kar lo.’ Toh unhone kar liya (I eventually roped him in. I just told him, ‘Sir, please do it, do it in the name of God.’ So he did it,)” she said.
Sara shared a namaste dashako video on her Instagram Stories with Akshay earlier this month. The video was taken on an aircraft during the promotions of Atrangi Re. The actor revealed they were headed to New Delhi for the promotions. She had also shared a similar post when the duo was filming for Atrangi Re.

Atrangi Re marks Sara's first collaboration with Akshay. The Sooryavanshi star had worked with Sara's dad, actor Saif Ali Khan in a few movies in the past. Speaking with Bollywood Hungama, Sara revealed Saif's reaction to the duo working together.
“(Saif) said that (Akshay) is great and had a blast working with him and I am sure I will too.” Sharing her own experience of working with Akshay, Sara added, “Outstanding. I think that he is such a superstar and he has such great presence and has such outstanding energy but the coolest thing is that he’s so humble. I never felt like I was working with India’s biggest superstar. He was just so relatable and relaxed and so easy to work with,” she said.
