Actor Colin Firth has topped a poll conducted to find the celebrity who Britishers would most like to have as their neighbour. Firth, who is competing for the best actor Academy Award today, was voted the country’s ideal next-door neighbour in a poll by Britain’s property website zoopla.co.uk.

The King’s Speech star received more than 15% votes, seeing off competition from Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole, who was runner-up with 10%, contactmusic.com reports.
