Dad’s the way

Actor Emraan Hashmi, known for his ‘serial kisser’ image, is looking forward to becoming a dad. His wife Parveen is nine months pregnant, and Emraan has been making grand preparations for the big day.

Actor Emraan Hashmi, known for his ‘serial kisser’ image, is looking forward to becoming a dad. His wife Parveen is nine months pregnant, and Emraan has been making grand preparations for the big day.

“We have bought heaps of clothes and kept one set in case it is a boy and one set for a girl. I have also kept my wife’s bag all packed and ready so that whenever the time arises to rush to the hospital, we will be ready to leave in an instant.”

Ask him about his current mental state and Hashmi replies, “I don’t know what to feel. I am just taking (things) one day at a time.”

Does impending fatherhood make him feel more responsible? “I don’t think I’ll feel grown up even after I have kids. But, I guess, to bring up the kids, you need to be responsible,” says Hashmi, who will be happy with either a son or daughter.
