The 58-year-old actor has also sought joint physical and legal custody of their four-year-old twins, Thomas and Zoe, and has offered to pay spousal support, reports people.com.

This will be the third divorce for Quaid, who was previously married to Hollywood actors Meg Ryan and PJ Soles.

Kimberly, a former real estate agent, initially filed for divorce in March. But she put the divorce on hold a month later, to give their marriage a second chance.
