Harrison faked signatures of fellow bandmates John Lenon, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr on two photos sent to leukaemia victim Ann Bartlett in the 1960s, as he could not get all the signatures in time and so copied them himself, it is thought, thesun.co.uk reports.

The two black-and-white pictures Saturday fetched 1,300 pounds in an auction by Keys in Aylsham group to boost research into the disease as Harrison himself succumbed to cancer in 2001.
