Her former lover Howard Stern and his associates Dr. Khristine Eroshevich and Dr. Sandeep Kapoor, were charged with conspiracy to feed the star with prescription drugs, reports the Daily Express.

And now, California Department of Justice narcotics investigator Danny Santiago has told a Los Angeles court that Smith was in a coma-like state towards the end of her life.

Santiago testified that her aides were giving her drugs in a baby''s bottle and that seven types of prescription drugs were found in the room, with some prescribed under Stern''s name.

Larry Birkhead, father of Smith''s daughter and Stern''s former love rival, has been subpoenaed to testify in the criminal case.
