1. Avoid daredevilry:
Don’t be overexcited while handling firecrackers. Kids should always be accompanied by their parent, so that they don’t get hurt.
2. Read the instructions:
Read the manual provided with each firework carefully, since different crackers have different instructions. Never throw fireworks or lighted crackers randomly.
3. Mind the gap:
Always keep fireworks at arm’s length and away from the body before lighting the fuse.
4. Store well:
Do not carry fireworks in your pockets; keep them in their packet till you intend to use them. Do not put them in a place where the temperature is too high. Also, make sure you don’t store them in tins, glass jars or bottles.
5. Space matters:
Light crackers in an open space and never inside a house. Also, never try to put them out in a closed container. Make sure you light them on a smooth, flat surface, away from the house, dry leaves and flammable materials.
