"Devyanshu told me that they were planning a video, through which they are supporting the LGBT community. I heard the lyrics and I knew that there is a beautiful thought behind the lines. They talk about freedom of choice and how everybody should be allowed to love. Lending my voice for the poem is my way to show my support for the cause," says Huma.

The actor adds that she enjoyed the experience of reciting the poem at a recording studio.

"The meaningful lines and the Urdu words interested me a lot. It went off very smoothly," she says, adding, "I think everybody in this country should have the freedom to make their own choices, be it their choice of profession or who to marry."

Humsafar Trust, which promotes LGBT rights, is also supporting the poem. Satyanshu says, "It was written by me, while Devyanshu has directed the video featuring Huma. He met with Humsafar, and we felt that we should lend our support to them. Huma has done a fantastic job. I hope this helps in spreading awareness."
