Bollywood's singing legend Lata Mangeshkar has expressed her regrets over not being able to meet late King of Pop Michael Jackson.

Remembering the Thriller hitmaker on his first death anniversary on Friday, Lata wrote on her Twitter page: "My humble tribute to one of the greatest pop artists ever, Michael Jackson...may his soul rest in peace... I never got opportunity to meet him... I'll always have this regret in my heart..."

Jackson died after cardiac arrest on June 25, 2009 at his Los Angeles home.
