Lindsay Lohan denies drug rumours

Mean Girls actress Lindsay Lohan claims to be clean of substances but admits that the attention she receives has been detrimental to her film career.

Actress Lindsay Lohan says she doesn't have a prescription drug problem but admits her film career has been affected by her personal life.

"No, I don't. No, I don't. I work," contactmusic.com quoted her as saying when asked if she had a drug problem.

She added: "And, if I go out with my friends, I am 23 and I am allowed to do that. I am working and I'm good. I'm surrounded by great friends now. I have weeded out a lot of people in my life."

The 23-year-old claims to be clean of substances but admits the attention she receives has been detrimental to her film career.

"The only problem is that it distracts from me getting jobs, and that's when it hurts me - especially when it's not true," she added.
