Lisa shows support for menstrual blood banking

Actor and former model Lisa Ray, who recently waged a successful battle against blood cancer with stem cell transplant, launched a menstrual blood banking service.

Actor and former model Lisa Ray, who recently waged a successful battle against blood cancer with stem cell transplant, launched a menstrual blood banking service in Mumbai on the occasion of Women’s Day on Tuesday.

The service, a LifeCell venture, is the first company offering menstrual blood banking to harvest stem cells in India. The process will enable women to store their own stem cells, taken from the menstrual blood, for future treatments.
