“I don’t want a soul mate to be from the entertainment industry. They don’t attract me,” says Mallika. “You can see just how pathetic and lonely my life is that to find love I have to come on TV. My world, which is all glitz and glamour, is a make-believe world. I want to come out of this world and enter the real world, where there is certain normalcy,” she added.

“And it is for the sake of this normalcy that you will see many actors marrying doctors or businessmen. This is because they want a real relationship with a real man ... also my reason to come on TV and do the show,” Mallika said, adding that she wants to find her true love, “and will get it in an Indian only and not anywhere else.”
