But Cyrus is reportedly not ready to accept that she has been ditched and is hoping to win the Aussie hunk back.
The 20-year-old, who has taken off her engagement ring, hinted that she is holding out hope for the wedding in a reply to a friend's tweet last week.
One of her back-up singers, Lindsey Lee, had sent a message reading: "Had to send off my engagement ring today to get fixed. One of the little diamonds fell out. I feel naked without it, so sad!"
Miley quickly tweeted back: "Ugh that's the worst! I just had a similar situation except when it happens to me then everyone says my wedding is off."
But a source claimed the jewellery store where the couple bought the ring have not had it returned for any repair.
Despite Cyrus denial that it is all over, their friends have predicted that Hemsworth will not take her back.
