The reported conversation between her and Ravi Shankar was broadcast by a popular TV channel on Thursday evening.

In the conversation she was heard telling the brother that she ran away unable to bear the beating of her uncle Suri Babu.

She further stated that her adoptive parents Bharati Devi (who happens to be her maternal aunt) and Suri Babu were harassing and torturing her.

Ravi Shankar had lodged a complaint with Jubilee Hills police station on Tuesday stating that Anjali was missing since Monday and there was a threat to her life from Bharati Devi and a Tamil Film producer.

Meanwhile, the police has disallowed Ravi Shankar to withdraw the complaint until the actress returned back home safely.Deputy commissioner of police G Sudhir Babu on Thursday confirmed that the actress was not kidnapped.

"The investigations so far indicate that she left the hotel on her own.We will proceed as per law after she informs the police of her whereabouts," he further said.
