Paula tweets about quitting American Idol

Paula Abdul has declared that she will not return to the judging panel of American Idol as producers have rejected her demands for nearly $20 million for the 2010 series.

Paula Abdul has declared on her Twitter.com page that she will not return to the judging panel of American Idol.

It has emerged that Paula is leaving the super hit American series after the producers rejected her demands for 20 million dollars for the 2010 series.

Contactmusic quotes Paula from her posts on the social networking site Twitter.com: "With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to IDOL. I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all being a part of a show that I helped from day1 become an international phenomenon.”

Paula also thanked her fans who had launched a campaign to keep her on the show.

She stated: "What I want to say most is how much I appreciate the undying support and enormous love that you have showered upon me. It truly has been breathtaking, especially over the past month.

"I do without any doubt have the BEST fans in the entire world and I love you all."
