As the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) fight to stay on in the Champions League T20 tournament being held in South Africa; SRK will not be by his squad’s side.

His team won the last edition of the Indian Premier League and star franchise owner Shah Rukh Khan made his presence felt in the stands throughout the tournament.

But now, as the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) fight to stay on in the Champions League T20 tournament being held in South Africa; SRK will not be by his squad’s side.

"He is busy wrapping up Chennai Express at Mehboob Studios. The idea is to finish off as much work as possible before Farah Khan’s Happy New Year (HNY) starts. Plus, he is busy with pre-production meetings of HNY since he is also co-producing it. So, he has no time to fly off to South Africa," says an insider.

If that’s not enough, in a few days, the actor will also be involved in the heavy-duty promotions of Jab Tak Hai Jaan, which releases on November 13.

However, the source adds, "If KKR stays on in the league, SRK is planning to take out time towards the end of the tournament and go to South Africa."
