Sheikh's etched name visible from space

Yes, it's true. Abu Dhabi ruler Sheikh Hamad Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan has actually had his name etched over three kilometres of terrain, making it visible from space. And it's cost him a cool $22 billion. Don't believe it? Check it out.

What's interesting is that the area of the carving is not solid land. It is partially sand and partially water!

The Sheikh apparently commissioned his staff to permanently carve his name on his private island across the water from the city. The letters are one kilometer high and the 'H' and 'A' are filled with water.

Well, some people clearly don't know what to do with their money and their ego!
