Shilpa’s superstitious absence

Shilpa Shetty seems to have been bitten by the superstitious bug.

Oi oi… what is this I’m hearing subah subah now? A chidiya from Chennai has just dropped in to tell me that Shilpa Shetty seems to have been bitten by the superstitious bug too. Meaning, she feels that she must stay away from the stadium when her Rajastan Royals play a match in the ongoing IPL.

Just like Shah Rukh Khan had apparently begun to believe vis-à-vis his Kolkata Knight Riders. Why else would Shetty be conspicuous by her absence at her teams match against Chennai Super Kings on Saturday at the opponents’ home turf, wonders my chidiya. Naturally, the actress-businesswoman isn’t pleased to see that the first IPL’s winning team, in which she invested her monies before the second season, is being so badly routed this time round.

Can’t blame her really. Adding to her woes are the hurdles that Royalty, her nightspot in Bandra, Mumbai is facing, before it opens in a full-fledged manner. Tsk tsk.
