Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen let out a barrage of insults against popstar Miley Cyrus during a recent interview.
The 16-year-old aspiring rocker said that she hates the kind of music that the Disney star makes, reported Us magazine.
"I'm not looking to be Miley Cyrus...I do think the Disney bubblegum that the world is living right now is pathetic. I thought we passed that repression," Momsen told FHM magazine.
" I don't care about the fame. I do it because I love music. I like making records and if people like them, then we'll go along for the ride," she said.
Both Cyrus, 17, and Momsen, 16, are former child stars who sing as well as act, but Momsen fronts the rock band The Pretty Reckless and Cyrus sings lighter country-pop fare.
But Cyrus too has been shedding her perky tween image with provocative outfits and sound bytes.
She rose to fame as the squeaky-clean star of the Disney Channel's The Hannah Montana Show.
Interestingly enough, Momsen is said to have auditioned for the Hannah role. She was seven years old when she starred as Cindy Lou Who in 2000's How the Grince Stole Christmas.
