Hollywood star Tom Cruise has dropped his $50million (Rs 310 crore approx) defamation case against a publication that claimed that he had “abandoned” his daughter, Suri, after his divorce from actor Katie Holmes in 2012.

Attorneys for Cruise, 51, and the magazine have reportedly agreed to have the case dismissed. It is still unknown if there was an out-of-court settlement in the case.
