England footballer Wayne Rooney's philandering ways are no less than an addiction. According to therapists, Rooney's romps in bed are a classic symptom of someone dealing with sex addiction.

Steven Pope, 53, who has cured other wayward football stars, offered to help stop the England striker playing away again.

“I know I can get Wayne Rooney back on the track,” the Daily Star quoted him as saying.

“Human beings can be addicted to anything. If they have an addictive personality it can be drink, drugs, sex – anything.

“As an act, sex results in an adrenaline rush.

“If it is a clandestine relationship there is excitement in the chase.

“Once that thrill is obtained the person must do it again and again,” he said.

Steven, who has 65 sex addicts on his books, famously turned round the life of Danny James, 26, from Liverpool, who bedded 500 women.

“His club knows my phone number.

“I have helped other Premier League stars. I am ready and waiting to help,” Steven added.
