Here’s your chance to pick and honour your favourite beauty salon. As a unique initiative, Hindustan Times and Clear Anti-Dandruff Shampoo bring to you Clear HT City People’s Choice Salon Awards. The awards aim to celebrate the success of those who have made a special mark in the world of beauty and haircare.
While you’ll see the best salon walk away with the most coveted salon award in the Capital, all the participating salons will get featured in a handy salon guide, HT City Clear People’s Choice Salon Guide Delhi 2012, which will be released by Hindustan Times.
So, watch out for the list of participating salons being featured in HT City and vote for your favourite salon. To vote, all you need to do is SMS the salon code that’s given in our feature to 54242. Voting closes on February 15, so hurry and make your favourite salon win.
HOT HAIR TRENDS
1 Plush ponytails: The versatile ponytail is back. Wear it low and flat, tucked under and sectioned off, or super slicked.
2 Wow waves: Soft waves that make you look effortlessly cool are going to be in. To get it right, all you need is a rough blow dry, subtle curl with the iron, and raking through with the hands.
3 Embellished updos: As seen on runways, imaginative touches will define up-dos. Look out for teased chignons secured with cage barrettes; chic errant strands; feathers making a striking statement and pearl-adorned knots.
4 Girly glistening hair: The lovely low-maintenance look of wet, barely-wrung hair has a youthful appeal that’s also chic when paired with bold eyes or lips. During spring play it up with a flower accessory.
5 Beautiful blowouts: Gorgeous elegance is what 2012’s voluminous, bouncy blowouts are all about. Simply apply a generous amount of mousse, set hair in pin curls, then release and tousle.
