Madonna’s teenage daughter launches a blog to promote the 80s look.

Pop diva Madonna’s 13-year-old daughter Lourdes has started a fashion blog to promote her mother’s new 80s-themed range of clothes.

She helped Madonna create the new clothing line, The Material Girl Collection, and now Lourdes has taken to the internet to promote it, saying the clothes will reflect some of her personal taste.

“I’m just going to use this blog entry to tell you all a little bit about myself. I am totally obsessive about 80s shorts. It’s kinda nerdy but I love it. The 80s are another huge obsession of mine, which is awesome because Material Girl is 80s themed, which pretty much rocks,” she wrote.

Madonna has previously said their clothing range has been inspired by Lourdes’ tastes.

Former supermodel Tyra Banks creates a one-stop online portal for fashion and beauty needs.

Former supermodel and talk-show host Tyra Banks is all set to create a fashion and beauty website to help fans look their best.

The 36-year-old beauty’s company, Bankable, is partnering with Los Angeles-based Demand Media on ventures that will include creating a website, producing online video segments and developing a series of apps for smartphones.

In a statement, Banks said she’s looking to create “an engine that would provide my audience with inspirational and instructional content to help them look and feel their best.”

Since her modelling days, Banks has aspired to build a media empire in the mold of Oprah Winfrey and Martha Stewart — publishing books and hosting a talk show, in addition to the hugely popular show America’s Next Top Model.

Banks recently quit her five-year-old talk show to pursue the online venture.
