Tired of wearing the cliched traditional look every Diwali and want to make a chic style statement? Fret not! Just follow these simple tips and you are bound to make heads turn.
Before hand: Get your facial done two days before Diwali. Before applying make-up, clean you face with a mild facewash and than apply a moisturiser.

Longstay: Use make-up that looks natural and does not crack up under extreme conditions. Use products that are tried and tested. If you want your make-up to last for hours, than go for oil-based foundation.
Choose it right: Use your compact powder one shade brighter than your skin colour. For evening, it is advisable to go for dark make-up; light make-up looks apt for daytime get-togethers. In this festive season, so you can easily go for shimmer make-up.
Colour up: Golden, pink, red, copper and bronze are the best colours for festive gatherings. For your eyes, choose kohl over an eyeliner and apply lipgloss after the lip shade for an attractive look. Keep compact, blusher, and kohl handy for the touchups. To add shine to your body, use silver or golden dust around your neck and collarbone area.
Perfect hair: Girls with short hair can make a high ponytail or go for bold curls. High ballerina bun or a French knot embellished with hair accessories will look perfect in long hair. To add volume to your hair use a hair spray and mousse.
