When you think of dressing up for the red carpet, you might consider floor-grazing gowns and cocktail-appropriate dresses. But Priyanka Chopra? She thinks of pyjamas.
In one of the best fashion decisions ever, the Quantico and A Kid Like Jake star attended the 2018 Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy gala in New York on Saturday, along with by Jay-Z , Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Pink, John Legend and Sting, wearing the fanciest pyjamas we’ve ever seen. It almost looked like Peecee was dressed for the bedroom rather than the red carpet. She just looked so incredibly comfortable and chic at the same time.
Priyanka’s daring monochrome look — which she rocked like the style queen that she is — was made of vivid white-hued pants and matching long satin robe from Russian designer label Ester Abner, which she wore over a lacy black bra. The shiny satin number with an easy, breezy silhouette came with long sleeves and a flirty fringed hem that you could only really appreciate when you zoom in.
Priyanka topped off her sexy silk separates with an assortment of jewellery from Kismet by Milka. She accessorised with blingy chains and studs to elevate the look. (But, hey. She’s still wearing pyjamas, and we still love it.)
Priyanka’s beauty look was so on point. It was almost too on point.
Bed-head was once considered a red carpet faux pas, but now celebrities, like Priyanka, have no problem sporting the undone, free-flowing hairstyle at events. Plus, the tousled texture made her light brown highlights look natural and beachy.
Priyanka’s monochromatic make-up — a technique, where eye, cheek, and lip make-up shades are kept in the same colour family, or when eye or lip make-up complements the outfit colour — too was such a standout.
The raspberry pink on her eyelids and lips was the perfect complement to her dewy skin and wavy lob, as well as the perfect contrast to her white ensemble.
