Applauding loudly and taking photos of the show stopper, Kareena Kapoor, were her supposed ‘rivals’ Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone.

Kapoor, who closed the show for designer Manish Malhotra, quashed recent rumours about being miffed with Kaif because the latter was chosen to do an item number in her film, Bodyguard. “Katrina is my friend,” she said.

Padukone’s presence, too, was noticed in light of her recent remarks that Kapoor, 30, was ‘insecure’ about beau Saif Ali Khan. She had later clarified that she was misquoted.

“I would like to give the benefit of doubt to Deepika. Why would she say such a thing?” said Kapoor, who was also declared the face of Lakme’s Absolute makeup range.

Also cheering her on was her sister, Karisma Kapur.

Kareena Kapoor looked resplendent in the show stopper outfit — an off white, layered silk gown with lace and net. The fitted bodice of the outfit was shimmering silver. She later shook a leg on the ramp with designer Manish Malhotra.
