Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Janhvi Kapoor have given us a bold colour combo to try

Janhvi Kapoor proved green and pink is the most vibrant colour combination to try with her Dhadak trailer launch look. Eager to try it out? For inspiration, let’s look to Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone, who’ve also embraced the vibrant combo with success.
When it comes to colours, not everyone can pull off a head-to-toe green and pink combination. It’s a bold fashion choice reserved for only the fiercest of style icons.
But for her debut film Dhadak’s trailer launch on Monday, Janhvi Kapoor tried a hand at the statement-making colour combo and guess what — knocked it out of the park.
While colour-blocking has basically become a constant at this point (cropping up in some sort of iteration every season), Janhvi somehow found a new way to freshen up the trend with her parrot green anarkali featuring a hot pink border. The endless green flares and smart accessorising — bejewelled drop earrings, a fistful of rings (all from Tribe Amrapali) and nude heels — made Janhvi’s look sophisticated yet impossibly sweet.
While, we still love mixing with shades of black, white, and grey, we’re loving the idea of colourblocking with brights a la Janhvi. It is a welcome change from the all-black or all-white everything. We love wearing black and white (and always will), still this look is definitely a little more cheery looking.
But we can’t help but remember how before Janhvi, celebrities, like actors Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, had worn very similar colour combos, and absolutely stunned in their two-hue outfits.
1. Deepika Padukone paired a lustrous strapless fuschia blouse embellished with clusters of beads with a bright, neon green saree.
2. Priyanka Chopra proved that when paired with an understated grey choli, pink and neon green make a mood-enhancing marriage. Her saree was also designed by Manish Malhotra.
What do you think of this old-made-new trend? Will you be giving it a shot?
