The Master Blaster has gone for straight hair, a complete departure from his previous curly hairstyle. Though the new hairdo did nothing to prove lucky for his performance during the first ODI of the Asia Cup against Sri Lanka, it is catching a lot of attention. “Sachin looks five years younger with his new hairstyle,” says Chandni Singh, hair artist. “The long hair is adding softness to his face,” says Aakriti Kochar, hair expert.

However, beauty expert Ambika Pillai is not pleased: “He looked better with curly hair.” Fans, however, want a ton, no matter the makeover. “The hair is great, but give us a ton please,” says Niki Dey, a 21-year-old cricket buff.
