If there’s one thing Shilpa Shetty nails every time, it’s ethnic wear. And if you love experimenting with traditional Indian wear, you can’t miss the actor and reality TV judge’s latest OOTD (outfit of the day).
Shilpa was spotted at an event in Kolkata on Wednesday, foregoing her favourite sari for a breezy pearl white kurta-palazzo set. She gave her AM:PM By Ankur and Priyanka Modi outfit a high fashion spin, pairing it with a long black and white velvet jacket with full sleeves and nude pumps.
The beautiful off-white and gold hand-embroidered detailing and floral motifs on this jacket from AM:PM’s ‘Pishtaq’ collection, which takes inspiration from Taj Mahal, made it stand out and added richness to the outfit. The silver choker with white beads from Sangeeta Boochra in Shilpa’s ensemble amped up the otherwise understated colour palette.
Keeping her beauty look simple, the actor offset the monochrome ensemble with brick brown lips, dewy make-up, naturally blow-dried hair and heavy mascara.
Known to update ethnic numbers with a twist, Shilpa’s below-the-knee jacket and white separates made for a refreshing change from all the colourful, festive looks recently spotted on celebrities. If you aren’t one to go heavy on the bling and are looking to make maximum impact with minimum effort, take cue from the actor’s latest ensemble and opt for a similar palazzo-long jacket pairing.
