Who says headbands are only for little girls? Didn’t we see pretty ladies such as Michelle Williams, Charlize Theron and Busy Philipps sporting trendy headbands at the Golden Globes in Los Angeles last week, giving the highschool style quite a lady-like makeover?

Recently, actor Elizabeth Banks too wore a black velvet headband at a film screening function. Back home, style watchers are all gung-ho about the trend. Designer Vandy Mehra says, “Broad headbands, stone encrusted and even the crochet ones are really hot these days.”

Beauty expert Ritu Makhija suggests, “Keep in mind the length and style of your hair, when donning headbands. Use slimmer bands for a smart fashionable look as fat headbands hide the hairstyle.”
