Is it a case of ‘buy two get one free’ or some crazy, new trend? Whatever it is, Mandira Bedi is surely getting noticed for wearing the exact same dress in three different colours, at distinct events. Spotted by paparazzi, it’s making news after being picked up by fashion blog

The TV anchor wore a short fitted red dress at the model auditions for the

Menswear Week

on July 8 in Delhi. She had worn the same dress in blue colour at an event in Mumbai a day before. What’s more — at the Zara store launch in Mumbai on June 10, Bedi had worn the same dress in yellow.

This is not the first time Bedi has done this. Two years ago, she wore the same sari in grey, purple and turquoise colours within a gap of a few weeks. HT City quizzed Bedi about this odd habit, and she said, “If I like something that suits me well, I buy it in three colours. That’s been the case with this dress I bought from a Mumbai store.”

Stylists, meanwhile, have advice for her. “Everyone is entitled to their own style, but I suggest she doesn’t overdo it, especially at public events,” says designer Preeti Chandra. “Even if she was wearing the same dress , she should have experimented with accessories,” says stylist Ranjunee Chakma.

Bloggers are far less charitable. “The dress is getting boring. Once... alright, twice alright but three times already??? And, it’s not the best dress e-v-e-r or something,” writes

posts: “She’s probably being paid to promote the dress.”
