For actress Sameera Reddy, it is an old T-shirt. “I have a tricolour T-shirt. I’ve had it since the longest time and I really take pride in it,” she says. Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh, too, has “quite a few clothes that remind me of our flag.” Actress Malaika Arora Khan has something more flamboyant. “I have a scarf in the colours of the national flag,” she says.

For some celebs, their patriotism is evident in their accessories and even their home décor. “I have a small tricolour brooch with me. I had attended a school event where the students gifted it to me and I have preserved it since,” says actress Kim Sharma. “I have a bunch of artificial flowers in tricolour that I have decorated my house with,” says actress Zarine Khan.

Some are even more innovative. “In my garden, I have a flower pot, which has bonsai plants in tricolour,” says, actress Eesha Koppikhar. The tech-savvy ones sport the national flag’s colours, too. “I have a tricolour wallpaper on my cell phone — something that is always there with me,” says actress Koena Mitra.
