2 men dispose sewage in open

The residents of Sector 47 caught two suspected Huda employees for allegedly disposing sewage water in the open on Friday. The two had allegedly connected a pipe to the main Huda sewer line and pumped out choked water into the open near the residential complex. Dhananjay Jha reports.

The complainant, Raman Sharma, said, “Nobody can dispose sewage water in the open. This is against the Environment Act. I’ve lodged a complaint with the police. I don’t expect police nor Huda to punish the culprits.”

“We’ve asked the area’s JE and sub-divisional officer to report at the earliest whether the two men were staff and under whose direction they pumped out sewage in the open,” said Sarvesh Joon, assistant to the Huda administrator, Praveen Kumar.
