The victim Sneh Malik had returned from a wedding ceremony late Sunday night and was still wearing gold ornaments when the trio barged into her house.

They allegedly threatened her to hand over the jewellery to them or face dire consequences. Her husband Rajesh Malik said his gardener was working in the lawn when the three came looking out for him.

He said, “The gardener told them that I was out and they could talk to my wife. As she came out to enquire, they barged into the house after assaulting the gardener. One of them took out a revolver and forced my wife to hand over her jewellery.”

After robbing Sneh, they bolted her inside the bathroom, he added.

“My wife bolted the door from inside and raised an alarm. Before fleeing the culprits also took away two mobile phones lying on the dining table. The plumber, who was at work in the backyard of house, informed me about the incident. My wife was unconscious when I reached home,” added Malik.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered, said inspector Sajjan Singh.

The police are preparing the sketches of the three robbers and are conducting raids to nab them.
