According to the police, two women and a man, who was driving, pulled the woman into a white car. They snatched her gold bangles, dumped her 50 metres ahead and immediately fled from the spot.

The victim’s husband called the police control room and, within minutes, a team from the Sector 5 police station reached the spot with SHO Harinder Singh. “We have lodged an FIR against three unidentified persons. According to the victim’s husband, Mulkh Raj Chawla, the two women seemed to be in their forties,” Singh said.

“In Rohtak, we had only heard about crime in Gurgaon. After this first-hand experience, my wife is in shock,” said Chawla.
