Kumar has also sought a report of the damaged roads that need immediate repairs by Monday.

The action comes in the wake of a visit to the city by Haryana chief secretary PK Chaudhary later in the week.

The worst-affected stretches are Mehrauli-Gurgaon (MG) Road, Southern Peripheral Road (SPR), Palam Vihar to Sector 4 and 5 Road, Golf Course Road, Sohna Road and others.

MG Road and SPR are likely to be re-carpeted soon. "Before these roads are re-laid, at least potholes should be fixed so that there is no waterlogging and more potholes do not develop," said a senior Huda engineer.
