“We want to financially support the family. We are feeling sad that the family members are going through a tough time and are even planning to sell off the property to bear the medical expenses," said Kanchan Singh of Sector 30. HT has received more than 100 calls till now.

“This is a heartrending situation for the family and we as public should lend them the support which the authorities have failed to provide," said Saurabh Pathak, an employee with IBM.

Anjoo Dalal, another caller, suggested the family should open an account and provide its details to public so that anyone who is willing to support can contribute. "Many people do not want to come in open as the accused belongs to an influential family,' he said.

The heartwarming public support has bought smiles to the family member's faces. Rakesh Chopra said, "We are going through a tough time mentally, physically and financially. Such support has boosted our morale.
