MBA student found hanging at rented room at DLF Phase 3
Sumer Singh from Rajasthan was studying MBA through distance education and was also working at a private company in Gurugram.
The decomposed body of a 23-year-old MBA student was found hanging inside a rented accommodation in which he used to stay at Nathupur village in DLF Phase 3 area in the early hours of Saturday, police said.

Sumer Singh, from Rajasthan, had hanged himself around two to three days ago and the door to the room was locked from the inside, Naresh Yadav, sub-inspector, who is the investigating officer in the case, said. People who were living in the same building were alerted by the stench from the room and peeked through a ventilator above the door to find him hanging from the ceiling fan.
Around 5 am on Saturday, Singh’s landlord reported the incident at the DLF Phase 3 police station. “There were no injury marks and we do not suspect murder,” Yadav said.
The body was handed over to family members after autopsy.
Singh’s family members said he was studying MBA through distance education and was also working at a private company in the city, Yadav said. “They (family) said he might have committed suicide because he feared he might fail in the MBA exam,” the officer said. No suicide note was recovered from the spot.
