“We are the only mid-segment hospital in Haryana that has the license to conduct a renal transplant. We had acquired the license five years ago, but we conducted it for the first time on June 3,” said Dr SP Yadav, managing director of Pushpanjali Hospital in Civil Lines.
The surgery, priced between R3-4 lakh, was conducted on a 32-year-old man from Rewari. Naveen Sharma was operated upon by a specialist team of nine members headed by Dr Mahinder Singh.
“When I got to know that I had to undergo a transplant, I was doubtful if I could manage the costs. But then I came to this hospital and I could easily manage the expenses here,” said Sharma, who is married and has a 4-year-old son.
