Nephew of Fatehabad MLA found dead, cops clueless

The police, Thursday, recovered the body of nephew of Fatehbad’s Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) MLA near Dhangar village. The body bore injury marks, Fatehbad police said. Maintaining that a case of murder and disappearance of evidence was registered against unidentified persons, police said they have identified the victim as Naresh Kumar, 36.

Maintaining that a case of murder and disappearance of evidence was registered against unidentified persons, police said they have identified the victim as Naresh Kumar, 36. Police have taken custody of the body and sent it for autopsy at the local general hospital. The deceased is nephew of local Fatehabad MLA Balwan Singh Dalautpuria.

Sishpal Singh, the brother of the victim, said Kumar had left home on his motorcycle on Wednesday evening, and on Thursday they came to know of his death.

Talking to media persons, station house officer Surender Kamboj of the Fatehbad city police station, said, “After police came to know about the matter, a team reached the spot and started investigation. The matter was brought to the knowledge of MLA Balwan Singh, who said he is travelling and will return soon.”

“When we got information that an unidentified body has been found, we told Kumar’s brother and he identified the body and submitted a written complaint. The family also said the victim was a drug addict. We will be able to ascertain the reason for his death only when we get the autopsy report,” Kamboj said
