According to him, issues like progress of location-based service by the telecom service providers will be taken up with company officials.
Apart from that, issues like round-the-clock responses, making available records of missed or attempted calls, making available records in prescribed format and inefficiency in tracking international mobile equipment identity (IMEI) numbers will also be taken up with company officials.
Other issues to be discussed will be difficulties faced by telecom service providers.
These include late receipt of sanctions from the state government, lack of verification of ID documents and issuance of pre-paid numbers on forged documents or incomplete documents.
The idea of getting automated location of targeted mobile numbers on registered mobile phones of police will also be mooted in the meeting.
