Probe into Karmayogi fraud begins

Residents are a relieved lot as the much-awaited probe into alleged financial bungling at Karmayogi Society in Sector 10A finally begun on Wednesday.

Deputy registrar (DR) of cooperative societies, Rohtak, Monika Khanna, met the society members. However, its president RK Hooda did not show up.

A section of residents had accused the society's executive members of embezzling its funds. The probe was transferred to DR, Rohtak, after the society members met chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda last month and urged him to order an impartial inquiry.
